Lets Spread Some Love today!
I’ve decided that Sundays will be dedicated to Spreading Love. My favorite thing to do is spread love, and since Sunday is my favorite day, combing them into one, only seems logical…and natural…and amazingly perfect.
(Said in an epic introducing voice) I SHALL CALL IT: #SpreadingLoveSundays. #superoriginal.
Spreading Love Sundays will be a day where I will post an idea or way, for you to actively spread love. On some weeks, I will be highlighting stories about people who are spreading love around the world. If you have a story that you would like to submit to me, or an idea that you would like to share, email me at MissMelottey@gmail.com .
There are many different ways you can spread love. According to author Gary Chapman, love is interpreted in 5 different languages. If you haven’t read his book the “5 Languages of Love”, then I highly recommend that you do this pronto, because it is the bible to understanding people. Gary’s theory is that there are 5 different ways that people express and interpret love:
1) Affirmations
2) Quality Time
3) Acts of Service
4) Gifts
5) Physical Touch

If you can understand a person’s love language then you can actively spread love to them in the way they understand.
As a side note: When you’re focusing on spreading love around the world, focus on doing what love expression you understand. Those that are open to understanding it, will interpret it as you have intended it. Don’t bother focusing on trying to please everyone’s love language…give what you’ve got and what you understand and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.
This week, I want you to do some research and find out what your love language is. Here is the quiz to find that out : The 5 Love Languages Quiz . Then find out the language of a friend or significant other. If you two speak a different language, then try to learn about their language this week. Do what you can to spread love to them in the way they understand.
Realizing that we all speak different love languages, has helped me find compassion for others that I use to really struggle with. So many of my relationships have blossomed into the most beautiful love affairs because I can now be compassionate and understand their underlying intentions.
Everyone wants to love. If you feel misunderstood, than its probably because you speak a different love language.
I hope you guys have a fabulous week and do what you can to spread some love today!
As always, I’m sending you so much love!
Melissa ♡
